Child Safety Standards — Chathub - Chat & Make Friends
These are the published child safety standards of Chathub - Chat & Make Friends, the Android application published on Google Play by Strangers chat (a brand of Peppty Technologies Private Limited, Karimnagar, India). They cover our policy prohibiting child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), our handling of child sexual abuse material (CSAM), in-app reporting, child-safety point of contact, and legal compliance.
Policy Against CSAE and CSAM
Chathub - Chat & Make Friends (by Strangers chat) prohibits child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). This includes, but is not limited to: child sexual abuse material (CSAM); grooming and the cultivation of relationships with minors for sexual purposes; sextortion; sex trafficking of minors; sexual solicitation of minors; sexually suggestive content directed at or involving anyone under 18; and AI-generated content depicting minors in a sexual context. Suspected violations are escalated for human review. A trained, authorized human reviewer decides terminal account action and whether a report to NCMEC or another authority is required; the system does not automatically impose a permanent ban or file a CyberTipline report based on a signal alone.

1. Prohibited Conduct
The following conduct is prohibited on Chathub - Chat & Make Friends. Suspected violations are reviewed and may result in account restrictions or termination, evidence preservation as required by law, and reporting to NCMEC or another authority when required. A human reviewer makes terminal enforcement and reporting decisions.
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) — sharing, distributing, requesting, soliciting, or possessing any image, video, audio, text, or computer-generated content depicting the sexual exploitation or abuse of any person under 18.
- Grooming — building, or attempting to build, a relationship with a minor for the purpose of sexual abuse or exploitation, including soliciting sexual images, requesting in-person meetings, or sending sexual or explicit content to a minor.
- Sextortion — threatening to expose sexual images, videos, or information involving a minor to coerce the minor or others into producing additional content, providing money, or performing acts.
- Child sex trafficking — recruiting, harboring, transporting, advertising, soliciting, or exchanging anything of value for the sexual exploitation of a person under 18.
- Sexualized content involving minors — sexually suggestive content, language, role-play, or behavior directed at or involving any person under 18, including AI-generated or computer-generated depictions of minors.
- Underage usage — creating an account, attempting to create an account, or using Chathub - Chat & Make Friends while under 18.
2. Prevention and Detection
Chathub - Chat & Make Friends uses layered prevention and detection to keep CSAE off the platform:
- Age gate. The app is intended for users 18 and older. Age is asked at account creation and is self-declared; sign-up is rejected for users below the minimum age. On the web app, creating a profile requires confirming you are 18 or older and agreeing to the Community Guidelines.
- Automated image checks. Photos sent in chat go through an automated image check before they are delivered. Uploads classified as disallowed are rejected; a CSAM-classified signal is queued for human review. The image check is not a dedicated CSAM-detection service, so we do not claim it detects all CSAM.
- Text safety signals. Chathub does not filter messages in real time for grooming or sexual solicitation. The Android send-time scan checks profanity, numbers, and app promotion, not child-safety patterns. The separate web and iOS surfaces have limited child-safety text-pattern signals that run asynchronously after sending; they are not comprehensive detectors and do not hold message delivery.
- Automated restrictions. Accounts that receive many reports from different people can be limited or suspended automatically. You can appeal in the app.
- Screenshot blocking. Android blocks screenshots in calls and full-screen photo view. Chat text screens and browser-based web chats are not screenshot-protected.
- Report hiding and blocking. After a report is successfully submitted, the reported account is added to the reporter’s local hidden/reported list and the current conversation is cleared. Blocking is a separate action in the report flow; users can select it to apply the app’s block behavior.
3. In-App Reporting Mechanism
Chathub - Chat & Make Friends gives every user a clearly visible in-app way to report child-safety concerns at the moment they encounter them:
- Report from any chat or call. Users can report another account from the chat options flow, profile/image-report surfaces, or the in-call report button shown during active voice and video calls. The call report flow uses the same child-safety reason list and lets the reporter block the account.
- “Child safety” report category. The report flow has a dedicated category for child sexual abuse, exploitation, grooming, and CSAM. Reports in this category are routed for review.
- Reporter protection. Once report submission succeeds, the app hides the reported account from the reporter and clears the current conversation. This does not itself decide the reported account’s case; CSAE reports are escalated for human review.
- Out-of-app reporting. Users, parents, guardians, journalists, or platform reviewers can additionally report child-safety concerns by emailing the dedicated child-safety contact at support@chathubapp.com with subject line “Child Safety Report”.
4. CSAM Response Procedures
- Content handling. An image upload classified as disallowed is rejected before its chat message is delivered. A report or automated signal about content already on the service is preserved and routed for human review; report intake alone does not guarantee automatic removal or account termination.
- NCMEC reporting. An authorized human reviewer files a report with the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) via the CyberTipline at report.cybertip.org when required by 18 U.S.C. § 2258A. Where another authority is the appropriate recipient, reports are made to that authority as applicable.
- Evidence preservation. Relevant data is preserved for the period required by applicable law to support law-enforcement investigation, in compliance with applicable privacy and data-protection requirements.
- Reporter acknowledgement. After a report is successfully submitted, the app confirms submission to the reporter. Specific enforcement details may not be disclosed for legal, privacy, and investigative reasons.
